 I was trying this Diet Cherry Fanta from Wendy's. It tastes pretty well. Reason I ordered it is because Wendy's doesn't have Mountain Dew in their wonderful Freestyle machine as the have Coke Products. I was thinking that it should be pretty close to my much loved Mountain Dew Code Red. It reminded me somewhat of cherry Kool-Aid. 

I generally think root beer is a little too sweet for me, but I had some diet Barq's today form a Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine and it tasted great. I actually kind of like root beer if it is in diet, just not regular where it tastes too sweet. If you are diebetic but love root beer, I would advise you folks to try Diet Barq's. 

Exxon-Mobile truly does have some of the best fountain pop in the ever. Today I had some Orange Crush from their fountain and it was excellent. If you are looking around for a place that has good pop, not all flat, watered-down and out-of-flavor, try Exxon Mobile's fountain. (published on August 12, 2016)

I tried the new Black Label Mountain Dew. It sure tastes fine with the berry taste to it. I personally have no intentions of trying it again and I only trIed it for you to do this review of it. But for those of you that like energy drinks, try the Black Label. (published on August 22, 2016)

When I heard of the all new Mutant Super Soda, I tried it out. It doesn't taste as well as Mountain Dew, but thats just me. I tried the green one, their is also a red one, but I will as soon as I find it in the cooler at a different gas station. If you love caffeine and are tired of Mountain Dew, try Mutant. It is loaded with caffeine, so be aware if you drink it. (published on October 20, 2016) 

Before 2016 is over, Alexthesodapopconnoisseur.com wants to clearly believe that the Dewcision 2016 promotion has been the biggest yet in the history of Mountain Dew's DEWmocracy business, where fans create and vote for new flavors to be made, the winning flavor stays in stores. The competing flavors were Baja Blast and Pitch Black, which Pitch Black got the most votes and won. Must have been a huge victory for Pitch Black, because Baja Blast is one of the most popular Mountain Dew products of all time. This current store shelf tenure is about Pitch Black's fifth life. It was originally introduced in the fall of 2004 as a Halloween special. For the longest time, fans would never want to drink it because when it came out a year later in 2005 for the next Halloween season, where it had a sour grapountain e flavor, known as Pitch Black II. Several times after that it still was never a success until it came out for this current life. Now fans must really like it now because it defeated Baja Blast in the Dewcision 2016 contest, which has got to be a huge win for any Mountain Dew product. (published December 31, 2016) 

 Mello Yello is supposed to be The Coca-Cola Company's version of Mountain Dew (both citrus flavored), but in my opinion, it is actually quite nasty. Something about the drink just doesn't taste right. I tried it out once but it is too sweet and too flat, quite worth spitting out. Sweeter than PepsiCo's Mountain Dew that is. Plus it looks slimy and green, so hey citizens, news flash, it IS as gross as it looks, so be glad if you have never tasted it before. And if you have, then I bet you know exactly what I mean. My best advice for those of you folks who are a fan of citrus soft drinks is to just stick with the classic Mountain Dew, because none of the other brands of this type come close to Mountain Dew in the ratings, such as Coca-MCola's Mello Yello or Dr. Pepper's Sun Drop. No wonder Mountain Dew is the only citrus drink that has made it to the mainstream soft drink brands. (published January 14, 2017)

But I got a new reccomendationfor you! Try Diet Mountain Dew Code Red. It is delicious. When I first heard of this flavor, I wanted to try it, because Mountain Dew Code Red is one of my personal favorite flavors and I also love diet drinks, so I thought I would like this type. And I sure did! It reminds me of Cherry Kool-Aid. If you drink diet soda for health reasons, you have probably only had Diet Mountain Dew, because it is the only other Mountain Dew flavor currently produced in a diet variation. However, Diet Code Red is rarely found anywhere besides your local supermarket, so when you try this flavor, search for it at a grocery store in the soft drink aisle, it is most commonly found in a 12-pack case.
